Don’t try to open doors God has closed
Have you ever revisited, or attempted to revisit a person, place, or situation to try to make something work when it didn’t the first time?
Such as a failed relationship, a career, or location?
Perhaps there was once a belief this thing was right for you, and when it didn’t turn out the way you wanted or expected, you feel resentful, bitter, angry, and hurt.
You try to move on and seek new adventures, people, locations, jobs, etc, but in the back of your mind, you continually think about that past door that was closed.
You may feel as if you can try and open that door again to try and make your initial belief about opening that door come true.
What if we try again to open that door, only for you to be more disappointed as you find out not only is that door now completely closed, it is locked tight. Do we try and break in?
The answer is No.
God may open a door for us to learn, only to have it shut for redirection to a different door. Not every door that opens is meant for us to walk into, sit down, kick our feet up, and make our home.
Some doors are meant to open up, and for us to peak inside to gain wisdom and continue on our journey to a new door.
God knows all things about you. Revelation 3:8: “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut”
God knows the door your meant to walk through and live. Sometimes the door we wanted to walk through is not the door God wants for us.
When doors are shut, it is a message from God for redirection.
Don’t try and open a door after you have been shown it is not meant for you. Take the lessons from that closed door and gain wisdom as to why God shut that door.
The door God desires for you won’t come with confusion, but with peace and clarity. Pray for God to direct your steps, and lead you to the door he desires for you, through faith.
Lean on him and not your own understanding.
Much Love
